It's that time of the year again

It is officially that time of the year again where legs are out, smiles are bright and the air is potent with potential and hope. I have been slaving away writing the second installment of The Gemini: A Tale of Linnea Twins and other than my brain being absolutely fried from working a thousand kilometers a minute, it has been quite a rush.

Writing the second book, while still trying to fully establish myself as an author, has been a whirlwind. Nothing like how it was with the first book. Right now there is a bit of pressure from people, some fans others not so much fans, to see me either succeed or fail. Now that I'm in the public eye (in a way) I have found that the once cocoon of anonymity that I took for granted is so desperately needed. Some people were never made to be in the spotlight, and I am one of the first to admit that.

The pressures that come with having to vocalize what The Gemini is about, my dreams for my writing career and the drive behind this book has left me almost literally unable to express myself vocally. To be honest there was never a need to do that before. Now that what everyone wants to talk about.

On the upside since we entered into the season of Spring nineteen days ago, I've been filled with a new vigor to finish this book. It is a great adventure in a completely different way. I have found a different side to writing I didn't know existed and it has filled my soul with so much air that I'm practically floating on air.

One thing is for sure though, that I've learnt recently: I am a writer; not a public figure. But in this digital world we live in we cant survive only by what you are. In business we have to do things we'd rather gouge our eyes out than do. But I guess that's what makes the different between coals and diamonds. Diamonds sustained the pressure. They went through experiences they'd rather not go through and came out a million times better than before.

So for this week, I want to remind you all to be diamonds, we only get better under heat. <3
