Finally...we are D.O.N.E DONE!!!!

So I had a five second party to celebrate the official completion of The Gemini edits! (insert fireworks here). I could literally hear the sweet pop of a champagne bottle, that's how happy I was. Granted this was a week ago, probably the day I last posted on Write Trix. And I gifted myself with a custom-made Correx board from my favorite graphic designer, who also happens to be my very talented brother (contact me for a hookup if you are from SA).

But unfortunately my joy was short-lived. Who knew media and marketing was this hard? Clearly not me because I haven't felt so out of my element since I began this journey. And for the first time I'm actually contacting people and asking humans for help and advice. The humiliation! (I really need to find a way to insert emojis here so I can accurately depict my YA angst)

I rocked my writer hat, my editor hat, my publisher hat and I'm still finding my footing with the large social media exposure hat. But this one is insane! However, I'm sure that given time and some more human conversations I'll find my niche soon. Speaking of marketing and promotions, I think I once mentioned planning a launch party for The Gemini release...

Do y'all think that it's a feasible idea or nah? I would really love some input on this. My mind is on strike after being abused for five months.

Quite literally, since finishing the edits I haven't even written my name on paper. Other than texting friends, I haven't written anything and the book ideas that have been popping up are currently marinading in my little fried brain. Hopefully they'll stay there until I have enough energy to jot down.

And lastly, I'm thinking of publishing very short stories on Write Trix. Tale Tuesdays? There's a million and one stories swimming upstairs and I think I'm finally ready to open the door and welcome all those who dare to explore the cavernous depths of Leotopia (my imagination has a name). So with this being said, starting from Feb 2024 I will be posting twice a week, Tale Tuesdays and Write Trix Wednesday.

Write Trix Wednesday is blogs regarding my journey as a self-publish author and just life as a writer in this sad market we were unfortunate or fortunate (depending on how you view it) enough to be born in. WTW is also a safe space for anyone to comment or request anything to be addressed (am I wording this right?), not just for writers but for anyone who's curious. I'm here for it all.

Tale Tuesdays on the other hand will be flooded with short stories and story series if need be (I can never plan these things as the story decides where it wants to go). Since I literally thought of TT as I was writing today's blog, I don't have many of the details yet - which is why I highlighted Feb as the beginning of Tale Tuesdays. I will share more information as the weeks go by and do everything I haven't thought of that I will need for the Tuesdays' blogs.

P.S. As mentioned above, I really really really oh so desperately want to have a launch party. I want it to be open to anyone who wants to attend and celebrate this milestone with me. Keep in mind that you'll actually have to buy The Gemini, haha (I'm serious tho)
