I present to you: The Gemini

For those of you who are new to my blog, or those who haven't been around during my multiple attempts at breaking into the writing fantasy/fiction industry, I would like to officially introduce you to the Gemini.

My most revered piece of work for the past six years. This baby has been through hell and back, or perhaps I have been through hell and back trying to give life to this creation. The journey was a hard one, most of the hardship self-inflicted, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

See all the times my laptop decided that an impromptu fresh start was needed when I didn't backup my book, all the times my laptop crashed and I gave up for months on end only for these people in this book to haunt my dreams, demanding to have their story told...that's what possibly made The Gemini my pride today.

Throughout my editing process, I had to deal with a lot of conflicting emotions. Who knew that imposter syndrome was so powerful. I couldn't have anticipated that I would be choked by my fear of not being enough, by the feeling of being a pretender. An actor who's just throwing some random words on paper and having the audacity to call it a book. Having the audacity to expect people to read it and love it.

But I'm glad to say that with experiencing Imposter syndrome in its entirety, I managed to force myself to come to terms with a few things. One being that by the time I'm finally done with the edits and I'm officially ready to brave the literary world, not everyone is going to love my book. Not everyone is going to ravish the pages and fall into a mythical world by my creation. Some people are going to hate it, others are going to question my credibility, my talent. I just need to develop thick skin because the world out there is very cruel and unforgiving. The world of social media is even worse.

Only the thickest survive and even they come out with scars that never heal.

But the editing process is great overall. I think those who had a glimpse of the Gemini a long time ago will be in for a treat (please don't think that it's going to be the exact same story I let you peruse once upon a time). As I've grown and matured, so has my writing I believe.

And I just can't wait for you all to be a part of it.

Side note>> what would you like to see on my blogs? These written words must be fun for everyone ;)

Lots of Love
